I did get another processor for my z-pro, and after a brief struggle I managed to get it installed and the machine working again. Now I just need s'more ram, (3.3 volt buffered edo dimms) which is proving difficult to find. Sigh. if it's not one thing, it's another.
Got some news from OWCP for when I move out and press on with school- They will provide me with $200 extra over what Iam getting now for rent. "Why so generous?" my Mom asked... Which has me a little worried. I can do it, I lived on less in the Military, but I was also able bodied then, and driving a cheap-to-operate car.
I've been working with Patrick Cottini on a few inventions, we're supposed to go to Sacramento on the 1st to talk with a patent attourney, and hopefully we can get things going. Our incentive? he's (a little) worried about his job, in the face of the recent cutbacks at the college, and I'd rather not spend the near future on 2,400$ a month and a van sized hole in my pocket. Plus I think I've got some cool ideas, and perhapse some day one or many of them will work into something.
Allright, I've got some computer questions, and I suck at ascii art so be gentle...

How do I make it so something on the 2nd server can be seen in a web browser from the net? Also, is it possible to 'serve' anything on the d or e drive of *.170? It seems like it would be possible, or there would be terrabyte sized drives on E-Bay. Or, do I just have to have a HUGE raid array on the *.170 machine?
Are you a firefighter in the Eastern US? Look for a "snag Awareness Card" coming out in the future, with a picture of a Plumas Hotshots helmet on the front. It's mine.
