So 2 of my machines have a viral infection. w32/dupator if I remember correctly. It's infected the 2 machines I forgot to put a virus checker on... Sigh. So, I've got to use the shotgun removal method, as I don't really know of any other way. I've done it to one, but the other hasn't a functioning a:\ drive and I'd rather not put XP on it. So maybe I'll format it with Xp then switch the disk to ME and see if that works. I dunno tho, it's kinda low on the priority list.
I did get another processor for my z-pro, and after a brief struggle I managed to get it installed and the machine working again. Now I just need s'more ram, (3.3 volt buffered edo dimms) which is proving difficult to find. Sigh. if it's not one thing, it's another.

Got some news from OWCP for when I move out and press on with school- They will provide me with $200 extra over what Iam getting now for rent. "Why so generous?" my Mom asked... Which has me a little worried. I can do it, I lived on less in the Military, but I was also able bodied then, and driving a cheap-to-operate car.
So let's look at the $$ schedule for a sec ok? That friggin' van is quite a drain. 200$ a month for insurance and 100$ for gas (and apparently I'm not driving it enough to keep the battery charged, I can't wait untill I live farther from school..Sigh) so there's a 300$ suction, 5 to 600$ for rent... Food? I don't eat much, Internet? Prolly 50+$ a month for high speed (I no longer own a modem besides the one stock in the laptop) access... Then there's the usual cable, power, heating and cooling, water, garbage, phone, and anything else that comes along.
So the usual approach to the potential need for more money is to get a job right? Well, therein lies the problem. Suprisingly it's not anything to do with riding a chair and getting a job. It's quite different. You see, anything I make working OWCP takes away from what I get a month. Should I get a job working 20 hours a week where I make 500 dollars, I'll get 500 dollars less a month from OWCP. So, I'll have to work 'under the table', and as far as I know, it's pretty damn hard to work construction in a wheelchair. So, my other options are making money on the web, and I'm not going to tell you how I'm planning to swing that. I own a few more domain names besides krstofer.org, and I'm going to have to get them fired back up, I guess.

I've been working with Patrick Cottini on a few inventions, we're supposed to go to Sacramento on the 1st to talk with a patent attourney, and hopefully we can get things going. Our incentive? he's (a little) worried about his job, in the face of the recent cutbacks at the college, and I'd rather not spend the near future on 2,400$ a month and a van sized hole in my pocket. Plus I think I've got some cool ideas, and perhapse some day one or many of them will work into something.

Allright, I've got some computer questions, and I suck at ascii art so be gentle...
Lets say I've got a few servers in the following configuration:

     )--;
     ___|______________                ______________
     | 63.121.106.170  |______________| 192.168.0.2 |
     |                 |              |             |
     | 192.168.0.1     |              |             |
     |_________________|              |_____________|

How do I make it so something on the 2nd server can be seen in a web browser from the net? Also, is it possible to 'serve' anything on the d or e drive of *.170? It seems like it would be possible, or there would be terrabyte sized drives on E-Bay. Or, do I just have to have a HUGE raid array on the *.170 machine?

Are you a firefighter in the Eastern US? Look for a "snag Awareness Card" coming out in the future, with a picture of a Plumas Hotshots helmet on the front. It's mine.
