So first off I guess I better ask that whoever's causing all these Congressional Investigations to be dropped on the SF OWCP office to stop, at least for the moment. I've been paid for everything, with the exception of $900 and some for the trip to Craig last year and ... $54 or so a month (for a year) for my cell phone access.
Apparently the Craig travel will get paid, and Mike Hooker hadn't ever heard of the "500 mile a day travel limit" which is why it was denied. He wanted written proof of that, so I got it from the ACS site. Said right there on the "we denied this because" line that I traveled more than 500 miles in a day.
Waaaaaay back last summer sometime I asked if my cell phone would be covered, as when I was at Cardinal Hill they brought me a cell so I could call mom and dad when I wanted. I figured if I tipped out of the chair somewhere or something it would be nice to be able to get some help, and since they had allready provided a phone, maybe they would "provide" mine. Paying for access was all Mike Hooker said OWCP would go for, and I figured that was allright as I didn't have to make any calls, but if it wasn't on then I wouldn't be able to use it at all.
Well, we never got anything in writing. Now I'm trying to get my bill paid, and ACS wants a written thing saying that OWCP said that was cool. I asked Susan to ask Hooker for it, which she did, and he says he's not going to write anything out. No written statement of "We'll provide you with cell phone access" for me.
There is a precidence as they (ACS) did pay it once, in the last lump sum "Here's all we owe you from the last year or so" check I got. So it's possible that they'll pay it again, but I'm not holding my breath. You see, the lump sum wasn't itemized, so I really have no idea for what I was paid and what I wasn't. So I bet they don't even know what they've paid for and what they haven't. I also suspect they didn't pay for everything, but have no way to tell. They like to only pay X% of what's billed, you see. But who knows about all that.
I just have to believe what I've been told, and that's that I've been paid for everything with the exception of the aforementioned travel and the phone access.

So what else is new? Heck I don't know... I seem to be doing better in math, mostly because I've been paying more attention, and have had trig before... That's what we're getting into here in the last part of the semester. Maybe I'll pass.

A couple weeks ago I nuked something and wanted to carry it into the livingroom, so I held it in my hands for a bit to see if it would burn me, and when it didn't I dropped it into my lap and went. By the time I got to the computer I said to myself "Hey it feels as if there's something warm on your leg..." I looked down and there was something warm on my leg. That bowl of whatever.
I went to a pain specialist and we talked, and he mentioned I might be getting a little return... Now don't get excited, I still can't feel anything more than I ever could, at least "surface" type tickled with a feather stuff. A little return means "more pain", pretty much.
I've been getting a new spasm, the "abdominizer" type spasms, like I'm doing a million situps, or something. and my abs *seem* a little sore, or different, or something. I dunno. I guess "feeling" anything is a step forward, but at this rate I *might* feel my toes when I'm 60.

I've been building a few things on the weekends, one you may have seen on the housecam. No, you don't get to know what it is, just guess alot. I finished a shower-curtain thing I wanted to make for the other bathroom- It's just a bathtub, and I had the maintence guy put a showerhead on a hose thing in there for me, and I wanted to put up something so I didn't get the walls all wet when I took a shower, so I made one. it's got shower curtains all 'round the tub, like what you might see on one of those old free-standing claw footed jobs. haven't tested it yet, but it should work well.

It's been cold here... I turned off the heater last month and while it gets to 70-80 in the day (most days) I guess I'm used to it as in the early morning it's COLD! Only like 60, but it feels really cold.

Plants are doing well.... 4 voodoo blooms so far, and 3 of my passionflowers are showing buds. Lots of seeds are coming up as well. I just need to figure out where I'm going to plant them, as I don't have a heck of a lot of yard space. All the vines can climb stuff I guess, but I don't know if watermelons and pumpkins can hang on a trelis. Or if they even have the little "hold on" tendrils, now that I think about it.

I fixed the email page, so if you sent me something and wondered if I got it, I prolly didn't. Just found out it was broken last week. Tried to install a SSI script, but I can't get it to work just yet, and I *think* I have a custom 404 page as well. Tried to test that, but it didn't work either, maybe it takes a day or 2 to take effect, I don't know.

Oh yeah.... If your on a government computer using M$ Outlook or outlook express, and my email is in your adress book, run a virus scanner on your machine ok? I've been getting an absolute pantload of viral spam from yournamehere@fs.fed.us. So some poor bastard (or a few of you) is / are infected. There's a cool and free virus checker at Grisoft.com but you can't use it on a government machine. best idea is update your virii identities and scan your box.
WHAT? You don't have a virus checker on your work box? Ok, after your done choking yourself go get someone to install one and clean up your machine.
